?Hi?
?Does anyone know where I can find case studies or day-by-day moviemaking stories? Especially for ??digital? I love to hear from other filmmakers about their experience on making their own films, because ??they gives us a great help to avoid their mistakes, and to learn new tips and techniques in this industry.?
?Please let me know if you know any web site contains such subject.?
?Thanks in advance.?

A lot of DVD's now come with a non-promotion 'making of' documentary that give an insight into the working methodology.
It's important to distinguish between the promotional pap 'making of' documentary and the 'making of' documentary that you may learn from.
Twelve Monkeys, Apocalypse Now, pretty much all Star Wars documentaries have taught me something.
The promotional pap ones are where there's just an interview with the star saying how much they love it etc etc., and nothing ever goes wrong during the shoot, and isn't film-making just so fucking glamourous we want to attract as many air-heads into the industry as possible because that way we can control them, we are evil and we are the executive -- oops, sorry, a rant.
Also look for good books and film-maker biographies.
HTH.

Check out the Guerilla Film Makers Handbook. The second edition has just been released (got my copy yesterday from Amazon). Has an entire section devoted to case studies of movie making. Everytime I start to waver I just read a case study and I'm fired up again!

Over the past two years, I wrote, shot, edited a DV feature, and currently have some articles running on Cyber Film School on "the making of". You can access them from this URL -- http://206.186.223.112/articles/saylor_01.htm Also, I recently completed a "How-To" (VHS) which covers Mini-DV Camcorders and NLE Editing. Take a look at www.dvmoviemaking.com when you get a minute. Good luck, S.S.
